FAQ
1WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF A FLOOR CURLING SHEET?
The official dimensions of a Floor Curling sheet are 10 meters long and 1.6 metres wide. Details can be found on our Equipment page and in the Official Floor Curling Rules & Regulations.
2CAN FLOOR CURLING BE PLAYED ON CARPET?
Floor Curling should be played on a smooth, flat surface such as a hardwood floor, gym surface, or similar. Floor Curling stones will not roll as well on carpet and fibers will get trapped in the bearings.
3CAN FLOOR CURLING BE PLAYED OUTDOORS?
Floor Curling can be played on any smooth, flat surface either indoors or outdoors. However, Floor Curling stones should not get wet as the bearings will rust. A clean floor surface is recommended to avoid dirt and debris getting stuck in the ball bearings. Always store your Floor Curling stones in a cool, dry area.
4HOW CAN I CLEAN MY FLOOR CURLING BEARINGS?
Roll the bearings on a microfiber towel to loosen any debris. (Using a microfiber towel prevents fabric fibers from getting stuck in the bearings.) Do not use any lubricants or liquids as this will damage and rust the bearings long term.
5CAN I REPLACE THE BEARINGS ON MY FLOOR CURLING STONES?
Yes. Replacement bearings can be purchased on our Equipment page. Simply use a flathead screwdriver to remove the old bearing by popping it out, then push the new bearing in its spot.
6HOW MANY PLAYERS ARE ON A FLOOR CURLING TEAM?
Floor Curling teams can consist of one, two, three or four players. There are different game formats for the number of players. Download the Official Floor Curling Rules & Regulations for more information.
7WHAT AGES CAN PLAY FLOOR CURLING?
Floor Curling is very inclusive and can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities including participants aged 3 to 93+, wheelchair curlers, and more. Floor Curling is an adaptive sport designed to include people of all abilities.
8WHERE CAN I FIND WORLD FLOOR CURLING™ EVENTS NEAR ME?
