World Floor Curling™ Definitions

Athletes compete by themselves, delivering 4 stones per end.

Athletes compete in teams of two, each delivering 2 stones per end.

Athletes compete in teams of three, each delivering 2 stones per end.

Athletes compete in teams of four, but two sub-disciplines exist within fours - 2 Pair and Fours Combined.

2 Pair: Teams are comprised of four players, but split into two pairs, one at each end of the playing lane, therefore alternating which pair delivers stones each end. Each player delivers 4 stones per end.
Fours Combined: Teams are comprised of four players, all players delivering stones each end. Each player delivers 2 stones per end.

Athletes shall be no older than 16 years of age on the end of the 31st day of December of the event year.

Athletes shall be no older than 25 years of age on the end of the 31st day of December of the event year.

Athletes shall be no younger than 16 years of age on the end of the 31st day of December of the event year.

Athletes shall be no younger than 50 years of age on the end of the 31st day of December of the event year.

Athletes shall be no younger than 60 years of age on the end of the 31st day of December of the event year.

Athletes shall be of any age at the time of the event. Event Organizers can select the "None" option in event creation.

24-team (or individual when playing singles) minimum registration required.

16-team (or individual when playing singles) minimum registration required.

8-team (or individual when playing singles) minimum registration required.

Events sanctioned by the national governing body.

Events sanctioned by multiple national governing bodies.

World Championship hosted by World Floor Curling, where pre-qualification may be required.
