While crowds gathered around the Uijeongbu Indoor Ice Rink for the opening weekend of the LGT World Women’s Championship, 40 competitors from nine Korean organizations set their sights on winning the first-ever Korean Floor Curling Championship, which was hosted just outside the main entrance of the arena. This marked a big step for the sport of floor curling in Korea, being the first sanctioned event.

The championship spanned over 2 days, with teams playing six-end games in a round-robin format across two divisions. The winners took home medals, certificates and the title of the first-ever Korean Floor Curling Champions.
