The National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the Epicenter K companies, and the Intersport store organized a sports event together with the Charity Fund “Children of Heroes” to support the children of fallen Ukrainian defenders.

The goal of the event was to inspire youth who have faced many hardships to continue to believe in themselves and reach for their dreams through sports.

The event began with participants gathered to watch inspiring videos of Team Ukraine preparing and participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The President of the NOC of Ukraine, Vadym Gutzait, spoke about how the children participating will have the opportunity to speak with and hear the stories of these athletes whose stories should inspire each participant to never stop dreaming.

The youth participants met many of their idols, champions and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships. They had the opportunity to chat with the athletes, get photos and autographs, and take part in Olympic activities including trivia and trying various sports such as floor curling, with equipment generously donated by FloorCurl.

The day was a memorable one for all involved, concluding with an emotional presentation of children’s wish letters and a joint photo for all to remember that this is the beginning of Ukraine’s sports journey, and the future begins with the children.

Thanks to projects like this, these and many other youth of Ukraine will have the opportunity to one day become the champions they dream of.
